AIRPLANE ADDITIONAL CHARGE

1.Valuation Charges

  The air carrier, as marine and railway, have to limit the responsibility of both sides himself and cargo owner in some range to limited the risk of manage.

  WARSAW CONVENTION established an upper limit of liability which the carrier have to take, when he make the loss, damage or delay of goods by his own negligence or intentionally, and the amount is generally understood to USD20 or per kg £ 9.07 per pound, or other equivalent currency. If the value of goods is more than below amount, and it excess the liability of carrier, so the he have to receive the Valuation Charges. Otherwise, if there is more loss, the carrier is not liable for damages of exceed part.

  Valuation Charges is for total goods, and is not for part of goods. The amount of it is according to the actual gross weight of goods, calculated as follows:

Valuation Charges= (value of goods - the gross weight × 20 USD / kg) × rate of Valuation Charges

  The rate of Valuation Charges is 0.5%. most air companies provide the Valuation Charges and meanwhile provide the minimum standard of Valuation Charges. It the actual charge calculated by formula is lower than the minimum standard,the carrier must pay it follow the minimum standard of Valuation Charges.

2.Other surcharges

  other surcharges include docs fee, COD surcharges, delivery fee etc., and it be charged when the carried or agent provide the services.
