THE CONCEPT AND CLASSIFICATION OF SEA ROUTES

    1. According to operation method of ship

     (1) regular route,, is the use of a regular vessel, sail in regular voyage and port, and operate passenger and freight transport services on the regular price. The regular route always be called liner route, for cargo transport. (2) irregular routes, is a temporary route for cargo needs. The vessel, voyage, and port are irregular, and main operate the large and low-price cargo transport.

    2. According to the distance of route

     (1) Ocean route (OCEAN-GOING SHIPPING LINE) is the transportation route of long distance and across the ocean. In our country, we border the Aden port, and take the route to west Aden port, including the Red Sea strait, European large areas and South American as ocean route. (2) Near ocean route (COASTAL SHIPPING LINE) is the transportation route from our domestic port to neighbour country port. We take the route to east Aden port, including Asia and Oceania, as near ocean route.。(3) coastal route (COASTAL SHIPPING LINE), is the transportation route between domestic port, such as the Shanghai / Guangzhou, Qingdao / Dalian etc..

 3. According to the scope of route (1) Atlantic routes; (2) Pacific routes; (3) Indian Ocean route; (4) Global route.
